Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh Evaluates Security Measures and Strategic Advancements in Bhuj's Creek Sector

Rajesh Kumar Singh, the Defence Secretary of India, conducted a visit to Bhuj where he engaged with Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command, and other senior officers from the Konark Corps. The discussions centered on the current security situation, infrastructure development, logistics, and future capability plans in the strategically important Creek Sector.

The purpose of the visit was to assess strategies aimed at bolstering operational readiness and border security in the area. Comprehensive briefings were provided on the topics of surveillance, force deployment, logistics sustainment, and infrastructure enhancement, all designed to improve preparedness along this sensitive frontier.

While there, the Defence Secretary toured the Joint Control Centre, a crucial operational facility that integrates information from various surveillance sensors in the region. This centre plays a significant role in creating a unified and real-time surveillance picture, thereby enhancing situational awareness and decision-making abilities for commanders in the field.

During the visit, the Defence Secretary also unveiled the Monumental Flag, a symbol of national pride and unity, as well as the firm commitment to protect the country's borders. He observed a comprehensive operational display that featured new-generation weapon systems and equipment, illustrating the Indian Army’s focus on technological advancements, modernisation, and indigenisation.

The visit underscored the Indian Government's ongoing commitment to strengthening collaboration among the Armed Forces, accelerating infrastructure development in border areas, promoting indigenisation as part of national initiatives, and building a future-ready, technologically advanced military to meet emerging security challenges.
