Defence Secretary and Southern Command Chief Oversee Conclusion of Exercise TATRAKSHA
Rajesh Kumar Singh, the Defence Secretary of India, along with Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command, observed the conclusion of Exercise TATRAKSHA, a multi-agency operation emphasizing the integrated functioning of security forces in coastal and creek environments.
Spanning three weeks, this comprehensive training exercise featured the collaboration of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Border Security Force, and the Gujarat Marine Police, with significant involvement from the civil administration. The exercise was designed to practice coordinated responses to dynamic security challenges along the coast and creeks, highlighting rapid decision-making, joint surveillance efforts, and synchronized operational activities.

Throughout the exercise, the participating units exhibited remarkable operational synergy, effective military-civil integration, and robust inter-agency coordination. The drills served to validate the preparedness levels, rapid response strategies, and the ability of the various agencies to function as a cohesive unit in challenging and dynamic conditions.
