Completion of Stage-I Flying Training for 217 Army Pilot Course with Captain Prateek Saini Awarded for Best Overall Performance
The Valedictory Function celebrating the completion of Stage-I flying training for the 217 Army Pilot Course (Helicopter) took place at the Basic Flying Training School on May 30, 2026.
In this phase, 22 Army officers successfully completed the initial stage of their aviation training, marking a pivotal moment in their path to becoming Indian Army aviators.
Brigadier Praveen Kumar Singh, Commander of the 603 (Independent) Aviation Brigade, oversaw the ceremony and extended his congratulations to the officers for completing this rigorous training phase.
A key moment of the event was the awarding of the Best Overall Performance trophy to Captain Prateek Saini, who excelled throughout the course.
The Stage-I training programme imparts essential flying skills, aviation knowledge, and professional competencies necessary for further specialized training in Army Aviation.
In his address, the Reviewing Officer praised the officers for their dedication, discipline, and commitment during the training and encouraged them to maintain their pursuit of excellence as they advance in their aviation careers.
