Colonel Pradeep Singh Named Best Student at ASC Centre's Senior Officers’ Course in Bengaluru
The Senior Officers’ Course, hosted at the ASC Centre and College in Bengaluru, concluded on May 25, 2026. The course saw the participation of Indian Army officers alongside their counterparts from Sri Lanka, a friendly foreign country.
Lieutenant General JK Gera, the Commandant of the institution, delivered the Valedictory Address, urging the officers to prioritize domain specialization and professional excellence in their roles as leaders. He highlighted the importance of training their troops effectively.
Lt Gen Gera stressed that developing soldiers to become masters of their trade is crucial for meeting the demands posed by the rapidly changing operational environment and modern battlefield challenges.
Among the participants, Colonel Pradeep Singh was recognized as the Best Student of the course. Additionally, Colonel WHMIU Bandara, USP, LSO of the Sri Lanka Army, received the title of Best Foreign Officer of the Course.
This course underscored the increasing focus on professional military education, the development of leadership skills, and the importance of international military cooperation through training exchanges and collaborative learning efforts.
