Axiscades Lands Rs 600 Crore Contracts to Advance Indigenous Defence Systems

Axiscades Technologies has secured defence contracts totaling Rs 600 crore through its subsidiaries, bolstering its participation in India's military modernization initiatives. These new orders represent nearly a third of the company's current order book, which is valued at approximately Rs 1,800 crore.

The contracts span several areas, including airborne, naval, and radar systems, with completion timelines ranging from three to five years. Axiscades stated that the projects involve both prototyping and full-scale production, which will contribute to the long-term capability enhancement of India's defence forces.

The orders, granted by defence laboratories and public sector entities, involve the development and delivery of high-precision sub-systems critical to projects spearheaded by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and other strategic agencies.

AESA Radar Program for Su-30 MKI Upgrade: Axiscades will develop and provide essential radar sub-systems, such as the Exciter Unit, Receiver Unit, and Antenna Beam Control Motherboard, to replace Russian-origin systems and boost India's radar capabilities.
Transmit-Receive Modules for S-Band Surveillance Radars: The company is tasked with designing and supplying TR modules to enhance target detection, tracking precision, and signal quality for long-range missions.
Long-Range Battle Management Radar (LRBMR) – KUSHA: The order entails supporting the development of indigenous Digital Beam Forming units. This S-band radar boasts a detection range of over 500 km and can track multiple targets at once.
Electric Heavy Weight Torpedo (EHWT): Axiscades will provide the Homing Receiver, a vital system that enables autonomous underwater target acquisition for submarine-launched torpedoes in anti-submarine warfare.
Submarine Sonar Systems: This production order highlights the company's expanding role in undersea warfare technologies by supplying crucial sonar sub-systems.

Axiscades CTO C Manikandan remarked that these orders demonstrate the company's expertise in radar, sonar, and electronic systems, underscoring its integration into India's leading defence research and manufacturing ecosystem.

The contracts are anticipated to significantly advance India's self-reliance in sophisticated defence technologies and represent a vital stride in the nation's drive for indigenous defence production.
