You are making a wrong precedence on defence affairs by portraying regional affinity to a National War Hero.
The platform where this should be rightly raised is not the exposed public forum.
I disagree logically and have less confidence in your intentions.

Braveheart KPMurlidharan should be rewarded for his bravery. Time should not be an hindrance. It will motivate the youngsters to join IAF.

Flying Officer Muralidharan is he a malayali from Kerala? In case he is Thamilian from Thamilnaadu would you be raising this issue vigorously. By the way anyone from whichever states who have fought courageously to defend the nation deserves to be posthumously awarded for bravery.

I want to bring to the attention of Indian citizen in reference to Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor about a young fighter pilot and 1971 war hero who had professionalism dedications ,commitment leadership ,bravery, courage etc and what more.He was denied his war dues. HIS name is Flying officer K P Muralidharan MIA.He and Sqn ldr Bajpayee from 20 lightning sqn took off from Srinagar Air base on 4th Dec 1971 to Peshwar air base nd on their three run over the base destroyed many vital defence installations and on their return leg they were engaged with the enemy aircrafts. After a long aerial dogfights Flying officer K.P Muralidharan was shot down when he ran out of fuel by the enemy pilot FL.LT Salim Mirza Baig who retd as wing comdr. He also shot down Flying Officer Nirmal jith Singh Sekhon the only Param Vir Chakra IAF got in that war.He also saved his Flight Comdr’s Bajpayee’s life.He was eloquently praised by the Pak war historin and Wing Comdr Salim Mirza Baig.In his autobiography my experience in 1971 he mentioned two best IAF pilot as tough nut and he appreciated their bravery and courage exhibited during the air battle.IAF bilatedly in 2010 recommended for MAHA VIR CHAKRA posthumously to Flying Officer K.P Muralidharan but was turned down by giving an insane reply to a war hero.TIME LIMIT FOR BRAVERY.In our sportsman, actors, cultural celebrities, politicians, businessman etc are honoured with with different gifts, cash, land house job, promotion, senior defence rank, tax exemption etc, but a poor patriotic soldier who sacrificed his life for his country was given all excuses by the IAF and denied his dues.WHY don’t Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor do his duty by turning the back pages of of this war hero. The nation wants a positive answer on 26th Jan 2026.The govt has honoured posthumously MVC to IAF Sqn Ldr AB Devayya MIA wife in 1988 after 23 yrs for 1965 war.I and the nation wants to know what message is given to the youngster who wants to join the defence forces. This matter was in public domain .
