Aero India 2027 Set for Bengaluru from February 8-12 at Yelahanka Air Base

Aero India, Asia’s largest air show and among the world’s leading aerospace and defence exhibitions, will return to Bengaluru for its 16th edition from February 8 to 12, 2027. The five-day event will be held at Air Force Station Yelahanka and will be organised by the Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence.

The 2027 edition is expected to bring together a wide cross-section of the global aerospace and defence community, including companies, policymakers, technology experts, innovators, industry representatives and defence personnel. Over the years, Aero India has become one of India’s most visible international platforms for showcasing aerospace and defence capabilities, while also serving as a meeting point for the armed forces, government institutions, domestic industry and major foreign defence firms.

The upcoming show will again highlight India’s expanding aerospace and defence industrial base and its growing role in global manufacturing and supply chains. Businesses and technology organisations will have the opportunity to present products, capabilities and new solutions, while Indian and international stakeholders will be able to connect on the sidelines of the exhibition.

The programme is expected to combine a large-scale exhibition with business engagements, strategic discussions, technology demonstrations and collaboration opportunities. It will provide a space for industry-to-industry as well as government-to-industry interactions, allowing participants to explore partnerships, investments, technology cooperation and other forms of engagement.

One of the main public attractions will be the flying display, featuring aerial demonstrations by the Indian Air Force and participating international teams. To support participation, the Ministry of Defence has developed a dedicated web-based portal for Aero India 2027. Online registration and booking of exhibition space will begin on September 3, 2026 through the official Aero India website, giving exhibitors and visitors a digital route to plan their participation well in advance of the February 2027 event.

Aero India’s role goes well beyond the display of aircraft and defence equipment. The event has increasingly become an important interface for India’s defence industrial ambitions, enabling domestic manufacturers, technology companies, start-ups and MSMEs to engage with major international aerospace and defence organisations and look for opportunities in the global market.

The 2027 edition is also expected to add momentum to the Government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision in defence and aerospace. Greater participation by Indian industry, including micro, small and medium enterprises and start-ups, could open up possibilities for partnerships, investment, exports and technology collaboration.

For Indian companies, an international event of this scale offers a platform to showcase indigenous products and technologies to potential buyers and partners. For foreign firms, Aero India provides access to one of the world’s important aerospace and defence markets and an opportunity to engage with Indian government agencies, the armed forces and the domestic industrial ecosystem.

The return of the air show to Air Force Station Yelahanka in February 2027 will once again place the city at the centre of India’s international aerospace and defence engagement.
