41 Officers Complete AMC Centre Course; Lt Hirak Kalita Emerges Top

On 18 March 2026, 41 newly commissioned officers of the Army Medical Corps (AMC) completed the Non-Technical Post Commissioning Course at the Officers Training College, AMC Centre & College.

The officers underwent a rigorous 14-week training program designed to develop their skills in administration, logistics, and leadership. This training prepares them for various roles, including Quartermasters, Administrative Officers, Logistic Officers, and Company Commanders.

Major General VK Patra, Commandant of the Officers Training College, AMC Centre & College, spoke at the course's closing ceremony. He urged the officers to maintain the highest standards of service, compassion, and dedication in their military careers.

Recognition was given to Lieutenant Hirak Kalita, who received the awards for Best in Academics and Overall Best Course Officer, acknowledging his outstanding performance throughout the course.

The completion of this course highlights the Indian Army's dedication to fostering skilled, professional, and empathetic leaders within the military healthcare sector.
