The Air Defence College recently concluded the 173rd Fighter Controllers’ Course (FFC), marking a significant milestone in the specialized training of air defence operations.

During the valedictory ceremony, Joint Secretary Shri Amitabh Prasad reviewed the achievements of the trainee officers, praising their dedication and outstanding performance.

The course included participants from the Indian Air Force as well as officers from Friendly Foreign Countries such as Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. This diverse participation underscores India's growing influence in international military training and cooperation.

During his visit, the Joint Secretary was briefed on the college's advanced training facilities for air defence and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (Counter-UAS). These state-of-the-art facilities are essential for countering new aerial threats, including drones and other low-observable technologies.

The successful conclusion of the course highlights the Indian Air Force's dedication to developing skilled fighter controllers and enhancing air defence capabilities through advanced training and international partnerships.
